A bit about us...
Established in 1989, Portway Farm Shop has proudly served Upton St Leonards and the surrounding areas for over 35 years. We are a family-run business providing home-reared and local meats, including beef, lamb, pork, free-range chicken, and free-range duck.
All our sausages and burgers are made in-house in our dedicated open-plan butchery. Recently, we won a Silver Award in a national competition for our ‘Portway’ sausages - a reflection of our commitment to quality produce for our customers.
Supporting local farmers is at the heart of what we do. Our beef is produced exclusively on our farm, finished on a natural diet of grass and cereals, and carefully matured and butchered by our skilled team. Our pork comes from Michael Marks in Birdlip, produced to high welfare standards, using only gilts for superior tenderness and flavour. Lamb is sourced from selected local farms and prepared to your specifications.
We also offer a wide range of produce from local suppliers, including home-made pies and quiches, cheese, butter, yogurt, organic milk, natural apple juice, preserves, honey, cakes, and farmhouse ice cream.
In addition, we produce home-cured bacon and gammon, cold smoked for a minimum of 10 hours over a bespoke blend of native hardwoods, giving our smoked products a rich, distinctive flavour. Alongside this, we continue to make a large variety of homemade sausages, pigs in blankets, pies, ready meals, and seasonal specialties - all prepared by our experienced team.
